The natural gas coming out of the reservoir, has some quantity of undesired gases such as Hydrogen Sulfide and Carbon Dioxide. These gases are detrimental due to their corrosion in downstream facilities. Meanwhile Hydrogen Sulfide is very poisonous and flammable. Carbon Dioxide also would reduce the low heating value of natural gas. Due to detrimental effect of these gases, it is necessary to be removed from natural gas by a process so called gas sweetening. Sweetening using Amine, is one of the most economical and usual method in industrial scale. Different type of Amines such as MDEA, DEA, MEA are being used in sweetening process.
